Dear CARDS family,

It is once again time for our annual CARDS Dinner.  It will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018, at the Palm Pavilion in the Alameda County Fairground dinners, consider joining us.  We always have a great time and it’s always fun to “catch up” with old friends.

This past year we have lost 28 of our retirees.  I think that is the greatest number in a single year.

This year we regrettably have needed to increase the cost of the dinner.  The cost of renting the Palm Pavilion and the caterer costs have continued to climb.  All the money collected for the dinner is directly related to the dinner.  We have been very fortunate that the last time we raised the price was in 2011.  It has been a good run.  Hope you can join us!

This is a very big deal for us at DSAL and YFSB-CPU as we have been asked to host the State Golden Gloves boxing events at the Hayward Adult School. The last time the Golden Gloves were hosted in Northern California was in 1923 in San Francisco.

Due to the incredible efforts of our ACSO and DSAL team who have hosted three highly professional boxing events in the last two years, we have been chosen us to host the 2018 qualifiers and tournament in Cherryland, California!

We would like to encourage our ACSO family to get first dibs at these tickets since we expect them to go fast.
